Chinese New Year
Chinese Papercut vs Cartoon Version with Tea
When I started college, I was a graphic design major, and then later changed to art education. So, I have always been interested in art in advertising. This project combines beverages, cartoons, and Chinese New Year with that graphic design style.
Sketchbook: Tea Drinks
Students need to draw all three tea drinks and the designs on them. The video shows how to draw them.
Sketchbook: Tea Drinks
The sketchbook assignment includes a Boba tea, teacup, and a teapot. For the main assignment, students choose one of these as part of the design.
Google Slides
The goal of this assignment is to combine a tea drink, a Chinese papercut from the Chinese zodiac, and design a cartoon version of the zodiac symbol. It also needs to have a simple background to complete the composition. The slides include images to reference, but students need to design as if it is inspired from it, not copied.
